Have you wondered how situate your work in the overlapping and divergent disciplines that inform comparative and international education (CIE)? In this session, panelists will discuss their experiences researching and writing in the various interdisciplinary fields that inform their work, including history, anthropology, political science, and economics. Drawing on experiences conducting qualitative and quantitative research on topics such as education policy, policy borrowing, childhood, and curriculum and pedagogy, the panelists will share their insights into crafting interdisciplinary research projects (or dissertations), highlight methodological differences, and offer tips to new scholars planning and conducting research in CIE. Their presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
